Named after the famed cuisine capital of Aleppo in northern Syria, this dark red pepper is earthy, slightly fruity with a rich heat. It is wonderful, when sprinkled on grilled meats or used in Syrian dishes, especially soups, salads, and fish. It is one of our very favorite chilies.

A true Foodie delight, this is the absolute king of our chile pepper line. It is so beloved by the Basque and French alike, that it enjoys the protection of appellation controlée, meaning that only peppers grown in the Espelette region should be called Piment d’Espelette. This chili pepper makes a superb finishing seasoning with a delicate, smoky, fruity flavor. This is a very special pepper that is truly great!

Bourbon Madagascar Vanilla Beans
Vanilla beans are the processed pods of the Vanilla orchid plant. Most recipes call for splitting open the bean and scrapping specks from the insides into a liquid or batter. In this method, a two-inch piece of bean equals about 1 tsp of extract. Adventurous? Try adding a small piece of the pod (do not scrap) at the beginning of cooking a savory stew or add a small piece to a rich shellfish dish. Delicious.
Our vanilla bean pods are a great value, plump and tacky to the touch. Sealed in our vapor barrier packaging, these are great presents for any cook!
